Marketplace Terms of Use
Who we are
BuildItS.A operates a free online marketplace that helps customers with building work connect with businesses that may be able to do it. BuildItS.A facilitates introductions; it is not a party to any agreement between a customer and a business.
Free at launch
Posting jobs, registering a business, browsing approved listings, expressing interest and approved introductions are free. There are no subscriptions, lead fees or payments. If paid features are ever introduced, they will be switched on only after published terms and advance notice.
No guarantee
An introduction is not a guarantee of work, quality, payment, availability or suitability. Customers should check credentials, references, insurance and written quotations before appointing anyone. Businesses remain responsible for their own quotations, professional obligations and work.
Your responsibilities
Customers must provide accurate project information and be authorised to post the work. Businesses must provide accurate business information. Everyone must follow the Community and Listing Rules.
Moderation
BuildItS.A reviews every job before publication and may edit public wording, correct categories or locations, request clarification, reject, unpublish or remove listings. We may suspend accounts for false listings, harassment, fraud, abuse or misuse of contact details.
Your contact details
Customers decide whether their contact details are shared with an interested business. Details are released only after the customer approves an introduction.
Affiliated businesses
Some businesses on BuildItS.A are affiliated with BuildItS.A. Where an affiliated business is involved, it is identified as affiliated and is not presented as an independent recommendation.
Law
These terms are governed by South African law, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and the Consumer Protection Act. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that cannot be excluded.
